The posted compensation range of $52.02 - $77.38 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

This job is responsible for overseeing the Centralized Staffing Office for the Central Region, which is engaged in maintaining optimizing 24/7 staffing coverage for multiple patient care services to ensure efficient utilization of resources and implement scheduling initiatives to reduce/meet productivity guidelines in a fiscally accountable manner. Incumbent manages the International Nursing Program throughout the Region to include recruiting, preboarding, employee orientation and employee experience. Serves as system analyst for scheduling and timekeeping system reporting. Primary resource for training/optimizing computerized scheduling software and associated processes for the Central Region. In addition, this role is responsible for managing the external travel program for the Central Region from approval process to contract completion. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs aligns with other workforce development efforts, is responsive to nurse and patient needs, and achieves program goals and outcomes.

  • Manages daily Centralized Staffing Office (CSO) operations for the Central Region, ensuring timely cost-effective activities compliant with professional standards, budget, policies, and regulations. Implements and enforces quality control/assurance and productivity standards. Monitors documentation for conformance with accuracy and timeliness, preparing periodic productivity and program reports for leadership.
  • Oversees a team of data analysts supporting the Central Region. Provides data analytics and auditing on staffing metrics, timekeeping, special pay programs, and other staffing operation data as directed.
  • Manages, schedules, and evaluates staff work according to procedures; help determine adequate staffing levels to meet budgetary and operational goals; ensures staff area qualified and trained; interviews and makes hiring decisions per guidelines; orients employees and hold regular staff meetings; approves timecards; communicates
    performance standards and evaluates performance; counsels employees, provides feedback, recognizes results, participates in performance management, and resolves technical issues.
  • Participates in the development of, and implements, new/revised guidelines, procedures, processes and/or training materials in support of assigned function/work unit to facilitate regulatory compliance; ensures that the employees understand and apply internal guidelines appropriately.
  • Manages a team of data analysts and travel coordinators to provide external staffing support for the Central Region. Ensures work is finalized in a timely manner; including processing of traveler invoices, onboarding and recruitment of travelers, agency follow-up, reviewing and processing special pay programs, liaison between
    travel agencies and internal management, system administration maintenance, and system reporting.
  • Oversees all phases of International Registered Nursing operations to include candidate selection, managing vendor relationships, pre-boarding, and orientation/indoctrination. Collaborates with executive leaders in the decision making process. Providing detailed international nurse staffing reports and data of specific operations.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years leadership experience 

Preferred

  • Experience in Workforce Mamagement setting
  • 3 years experience in the discipline (clinical experience or acute care/hospital based experience
