The posted compensation range of $34.25 - $42.80 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Tech III is responsible for the preparation and distribution of all medication orders plus attains and maintains (according to hospital policies under State and Federal laws and regulations) one or more of the following specialties; IV Chemotherapy certification - Surgery Pharmacy Technician status - Certified Pharmacy Technician status (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- I.V certification by a qualified institution
- Registered State Board of Pharmacy (CT PHRMTEC)
Preferred Requirements:
- One (1) year of hospital pharmacy with experience
Special Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language.
- Strong attention to detail. Able to follow both oral and written directions.
- Ability to be precise in filling medication orders and maintaining records.
- Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, the patient, family, and the public.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
