Working at the intersection of surgical precision and post-operative stabilization, you will serve as a vital link in the patient’s journey through the perioperative process.

Your sense of urgency and dedication to clinical excellence in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment will not only support rapid patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement within the CHI St. Joseph’s network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Assessment: Provide a comprehensive assessment of the surgical patient through the collection, analysis, and synthesis of data used to establish a baseline health status and plan of care, effectively addressing rapid changes in the patient’s post-operative condition.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the perioperative surgical team and health care providers to develop, coordinate, and communicate a seamless plan of care.
  • Care Planning: Develop and refine nursing interventions specifically tailored to the unique physiological and psychological needs of patients in the OR and PACU settings.
  • Independent Intervention: Implement high-level nursing care through the execution of independent interventions, including airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and pain management.
  • Provider-Led Execution: Implement specialized interventions that are delegated, ordered, or prescribed by surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe and effective patient transitions.
  • Team Leadership: Delegate appropriate nursing tasks and coordinate care activities with surgical techs and support staff to ensure the efficiency of the patient’s plan of care and maintain a safe surgical environment.

Job Requirements
