MRI Technologist Lead

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Practices AIDET and FCPP in communications with the patient and family members. Consistently uses two patient identifiers introduces oneself, provides an explanation of the exam and allows the patient time to ask questions.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records. Follows HIPAA regulations and policy. Avoids "open" discussion of patients/patient status Reviews documentation for accuracy and varifies ordered exam with patient and/or chart.
• Prepares and administers intravenous contrast according to policy. Adheres to sterile technique and prepares for emergency treatment of allergic reaction by established policy.
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department forms per protocol i.e. incident reports, side/site forms, etc. Completes exam(s) in Radnet,enters notes or other required documentation into Radnet, DR or other computer systems.
• Maintains a hazard-free environment: Observes all magnetic field safety measures Disposes of sharps/wastes/biohazards appropriately Maintains clear and uncluttered work/patient care area Reports areas/equipment in need of repair/attention Assists with keeping facility clean and orderly
• Perform MRI exams according to Radiologist preference, standards of care and hospital protocol.

Required

• Associates Other Medical Imaging, Sciences or Business and 3 years recent experience as an MRI technologist, or
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Preferred

• Bachelors Other Medical Imaging, Sciences or Business and 3 years recent experience as an MRI technologist, upon hire
