The posted compensation range of $108,472.00-178,984.00/year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neuropsychologist, you will play a critical role in understanding the complex relationship between brain function and behavior, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations forindividuals facing neurological and psychological challenges. You will be instrumental in guiding patient care plans and enhancing their quality of life.

Every day you will conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, interpret test results, and provide clear, insightful reports and feedback to patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. You will be expected to diagnose cognitive and behavioral disorders, develop tailored rehabilitation strategies, offer cognitive remediation, and collaborate with neurologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop holistic treatment plans.

To be successful in this role, you must possess advanced doctoral-level training in neuropsychology, be licensed as a psychologist, have strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on cognitive and emotional functioning.

  • Provides appropriate and effective neuropsychological care as required to diagnose and treat the psychological manifestations of neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions.
  • Works collaboratively with the Department Chair, Practice Manager, and BNI senior leadership to ensure that high quality patient care is provided in an efficient and consistent manner.
  • Participates in the training, supervision, and evaluation of psychometrists, as applicable.
  • Participates in activities that improve patient access and patient satisfaction.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with community health care providers to develop and encourage bi-directional patient referrals.
  • Attends to medical records in a timely and appropriate manner to facilitate continuity of care, confidentiality of information, compliance with medical reporting standards, and accurate and timely billing of services.
  • Complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements for patient care, medical records, and billing activities, and works cooperatively with regulatory and accreditation staff members to ensure compliance.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctorate of Science
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from regionally accredited program
  • Two (2) years clinical experience as postdoctoral fellow in a clinical neuropsychology training program
  • Experience in neuropsychological evaluation and treatment with a variety of medical patient populations
  • Psychologist: AZ (PSYCH:AZ)
  • Self-directed in meeting requirements for clinical and academic productivity
  • Fellowship training in clinical neuropsychology and/or rehabilitation psychology
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Preferred

  • Two (2)+ years clinical neuropsycholog experience in an APPCN accredited postdoctoral fellowship program or equivalent
  • Experience with neurological and neurosurgical patient populations
    Experience in rehabilitation and/or psychotherapy
