The posted compensation range of $43.10 - $64.11 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Surgical Services Coordinator Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center, you will lead and manage our cutting-edge Robotic Program within a Level I Trauma Center operating 24/7. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire perioperative robotic surgery journey, from scheduling to patient and staff education, within our advanced 12-room OR suite (1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio) and 44-bay PACU (1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio), both committed to the latest technology. You will serve as a critical liaison between physicians, nursing, allied health, and families, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service.
Every day you will manage the robotic surgery schedule, including inventory of specialized instruments and auxiliary supplies for our DaVinci Surgical System. You'll conduct and oversee DaVinci System training for OR nursing and CST staff, covering pre-, intra-, and post-operative management, and provide clinical troubleshooting. Your responsibilities extend to supervising patient preparation for robotic procedures and continuously developing clinical pathways, all within an environment that fosters constant learning and skill enhancement.
To be successful in this role, you will exceptional communication, collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of robotic patient care standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to innovate in advanced surgical technology within a facility dedicated to highly specialized care.
- Manage robotic surgery schedule
- Order and maintain inventory of EndoWrist instruments and accessories
- Ensuring that patient receives best possible clinical and service experience from the time of surgery scheduling throughout the perioperative experience by overseeing patient OR staff and resident education.
- Maintaining the quality standards for responsive service including data management of key quality indicators.
- Functions as a liaison between the physicians nursing staff OR leadership allied health professionals patients and families.

Job Requirements
Required
- One year of OR Nursing experience including recent knowledge of Robotic Surgical Care in GYN, General, Urology and Thoracic patients and
- Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Nursing and, upon hire or
- Masters Of Nursing, upon hire and
- Three years of advanced knowledge of Robotic Surgery is preferred in all surgical specialties including GYN, Breast and Urology
