Responsibilities

As our Vascular Access Nurse,  you will be responsible for providing safe and effective vascular access care to patients. You will perform a variety of procedures, including peripheral intravenous (IV) catheter insertion, central venous catheter insertion, and US IV insertion. 

This opportunity can be combined with a full-time role within this unit.

  • Assess patient needs and determine appropriate vascular access devices
  • responsible for the insertion of PICC (peripherally inserted central catheters) and midlines
  • responsible for the coordination of services as related to PICC lines and all CVAD (Central Venous Access Devices) 
  • Educate patients and families on vascular access care
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum five (5) years experience as an acute care RN 
  • Registered Nurse (RN)license,
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) Certification 
  • ACLS Certification
