Geriatrician Faculty Physician
The posted compensation range of $120.20 - $134.62 /hour) is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. - Patient population includes Geriatrics, Dementia, and Palliative Care
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and Advance Practice Providers to enhance efficiency and care coordination to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Actively engage in patient education and shared decision-making to empower older adults and improve health outcomes
- Serve as a Geriatrics Consultant, including screening and diagnosing Dementia
- Clinic position with possibility of home visits
- Full time position, Monday through Friday
- Provider will have 4 hours of administrative time per week
- Daily patient volume: anticipated 6-10 patients per day
- Current programming includes multi-disciplinary Dementia Screening Clinic, Alzheimer's & Dementia Care Program (UCLA dissemination site), Outpatient and Inpatient Palliative Care, and GUIDE model participant
- Opportunity to enhance and expand services in the Cunningham Center for Compassionate Aging
Qualifications
- BE/BC in Geriatric Medicine (IM or FP), Neurology, or Hospice & Palliative Medicine (IM or FP)
- Experience or interest in working with Dementia/Alzheimer's Disease population
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid state medical license as MD or DO
- Valid DEA certificate
- Strong clinical skills and experience working with older adults
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for the unique needs of older adults and their care partners #HEC
