Responsibilities
  • Provides training and in-servicing to nursing and ancillary departments.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and committees.
  • Evaluates and treats all patient diagnoses comprehensively, and identifies appropriate treatment plan and goals consistent with physician's referral, patient's diagnosis, abilities and age -using objective, measurable data, within departmental policy timelines.
  • Communicates with Director and supervisor effectively, and in a timely manner, regarding any issues, requests or ideas.
  • Completes and forwards all required hospital and department forms, such as timecards, time-off requests, projects, without need for reminders.
  • Contributes to the development of Rehab Services through active participation in problem-solving, program development and assisting in the accomplishment of assignments and department objectives.
  • Recommends and assists in implementing a process to evaluate and improve staff clinical skills, througheducation and staff competencies, both initial and annually.
  • Reviews the clinical work of the staff and identifies training needs.
  • Acts as a clinical resource to all therapy staff.
  • Acts as a super user for Time and Attendance and Cerner documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Other from a Physical Therapy institution accredited by the APTA.
     or
    Masters Other from a Physical Therapy institution accredited by the APTA.
     or
    Doctorial Other from a Physical Therapy institution accredited by the APTA
  • AZ Physical Therapist License
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
