The posted compensation range of $69.41 - $103.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As the Regional Director, Business Systems Configuration, you will oversee all aspects of the athenahealth IDX (aIDX) Practice Management System which supports all ambulatory practices for CA, NV and AZ business, and manages end to end revenue cycle functions for over 1,650 providers and $1 billion in net annual revenues.
The Regional Director provides leadership on day-to-day supervision, guidance and direction to the Business Systems Configuration (BSC) Department, business system analysts, encounter submissions and the systems training team, collectively known as the aIDX System Support team.
The Regional Director is a trusted advisor to CFO and senior leadership teams on business system knowledge and enhancements. The BCS department provides service to the organization in configuration and updating the aIDX system for Scheduling, Billing, and Managed Care Claims processing, maintenance and support of interfaces and third party applications supporting the athenhealth (aIDX) application, process flow updates and enhancements, and the training and professional development of staff. They serve as the escalation point for aIDX system, interfaces, and third party applications supporting the aIDX ecosystem.
- Provides supervision, guidance and direction to the all functional area of responsibilities. Builds teams that are focused on delivering results through effective coaching, and driving and maintaining employee engagement.
- Accountable leader for the implementation of processes for receiving and processing additions and updates to the aIDX application.
- Provides leadership and direction for a comprehensive managed care claims adjudication system, and claims examination and processing team for delegated health plans. Collaborates with various teams to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of claims payments to OOG providers and vendors. Ensures robust and timely encounter reporting for professional and hospital services for Quality/HCC/MIPS metrics to support financial awards.
- Directs configuration and updating the aIDX system for Registration/Scheduling, Billing (BAR) and Managed Care Administration/Financial Risk Manager (FRM). Accountable leader for the configuration, maintenance and support of interfaces and third party applications supporting the aIDX system configuration.
- Directs the processing, auditing, and accurate payment for all claims through all HMO plans for various medical groups and physician networks.
- Directs the training and deployment of training staff for the aIDX system to all Dignity Health Medical Foundation clinics for Registration/Scheduling and Revenue Cycle performance activities.
***This position is remote, but will be expected to work PST business hours.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in an IT application support leadership role.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working with multiple business system processes and IT project experience.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and scope.
- Knowledge of Professional Billing and Managed Care Claims processing associated with Medical Groups and Foundations.
- Knowledge of professional operations and interdependencies with applications supporting the patient care operations and interdependencies with applications supporting the Process.
- Knowledge of data base management to ensure maximum data integrity, consistency, and usability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience leading the aIDX and/or EPIC application strongly preferred.
- Experience with, or strong knowledge of, ambulatory clinic workflows strongly preferred.
- Experience with change management preferred.
