The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $31.04 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As an Imaging Professional, you will be a highly specialized and essential member of our clinical team, pivotal in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Every day, you will expertly execute diverse specialized imaging procedures, assisting physicians, meticulously monitoring patients, and precisely operating sophisticated equipment for critical real-time guidance and accurate diagnosis.
A steadfast commitment to patient safety advocacy is crucial. Ensuring patient safety is of utmost importance.
Success in this role means you:
- Transports patients to and from clinical and support areas via wheelchair or stretcher.
- Ensures proper patient identification and location.
- Transports patient chart with patient.
- Performs isolation and infection control techniques when required.
- Properly handles patient support apparatus during transportation. Assists as requested during patient examinations.
- Gathers appropriate information to release medical records.
- Efficiently uploads and burns of images to CD.
- Provides patient histories to imaging centers in a timely manner.
- Efficiently processes and distributes imaging records to requesting facilities
- Consistently updates physician distribution list.
- Inputting patients medical history in information systems, ie; MERGE, PACS, MRS.
- Consistently demonstrates customer service expectations as outlined in the DIGNITY HEALTH MEDICAL FOUNDATION audit tools and job description.
- Consistently makes eye contact and smiles.
- Demonstrates active listening with positive can do attitude.
- Consistently respectful, concerned, and shows empathy.
- Consistently and proactively greets patients when within 3 feet of them.
- Engages in professional business related conversations in patient areas and avoids personal conversations where patients may hear them.
- Consistently states first name and wears name badge above the waist.
- Consistently demonstrates competence as outlined in the applicable Dignity Health Medical Foundation audit tools and job description.
- Completely explains examination procedure or instruction to the patient in a clear, pleasant, and professional manner.
- Exam rooms are consistently stocked and cleaned.
- Self initiative to identify opportunities and participate in improving center efficiencies.
- Proactively involves others as appropriate in planning and prioritizing work.
- Quickly seeks assistance from leadership when unsure of what to do, how to handle a situation, or how to accomplish something.
- Consistently keeps self informed and prepared for any situation.
- Quickly responds to requests from coworkers and radiologist.
- When issues arise they are addressed immediately.
- Gathers patient history in a timely manner
- Participates in and supports team- and center- based meetings and projects.
- Problem solves to maximize opportunities and minimize unnecessary steps.
- Keeps work spaces and all patient areas clean and clutter free.
- Maintains professional appearance and follows all dress code guidelines.
- Flexible to change work hours/days, and floats to support others.
- Initiates ways to increase center productivity.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
Able to assist and transfer safely, patients from stretchers and wheelchairs.
Should be adept in communication with patients, physicians, and co-workers in a friendly and supportive manner.
Basic Computer skills.
Excellent customer service skills, proper phone etiquette, and a courteous, caring and professional attitude are a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Prior experience with Picture Archive Communication System (PACS)
