The posted compensation range of $33.51 - $38.31 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Patient Registration Representative, you will help patients and their families navigate the healthcare system by providing a positive and clear registration experience so they can feel supported and confident in their care journey, understanding their financial responsibilities and rights.
Every day you will ensure complete, accurate, and timely entry of demographic information into the ADT system, including collecting accurate patient data, verifying insurance, and obtaining signatures on required forms. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, manage patient financial liabilities, follow CMS billing requirements, and comply with all regulatory standards affecting the registration process.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a thorough understanding of insurance policies and procedures, working knowledge of medical terminology, basic mathematics for payment calculation, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and an understanding of charity care programs. You should also have at least one year of experience in a hospital patient registration department or a related healthcare setting, with experience in requesting and processing financial payments.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate or High School GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle related roles. Experience in requesting and processing financial payments.
Preferred
- Two experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle related roles. Experience in requesting and processing financial payments.

Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento.
