The posted compensation range of $30.03 - $33.47 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Courier, you will be a central figure responsible for the safe, timely, and secure transportation of critical materials, ensuring the seamless flow of essential items between various locations. You will play a vital role in connecting operations and contributing to efficient service delivery.

Every day, you will expertly plan and execute efficient delivery routes, meticulously handle and track diverse items including sensitive documents or medical specimens, ensuring their integrity throughout transit. You will also maintain your assigned vehicle, adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols, and communicate proactively with dispatch and recipients to provide updates.

To be successful in this role, you will combine a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a strong sense of responsibility with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. You will demonstrate reliability, a proactive approach to route optimization and security, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment providing essential logistical support.

  • Pick up and delivery of specimens, supplies and documents between hospitals, laboratories, clients and physician's offices
  • Documentation of mechanical problems with vehicle(s)
  • Plans, organizes and shares work cooperatively according to demand
  • Ensures courier car is kept clean, inside and out
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, physicians' office staff, co-workers and community.
  • Utilize computer for daily updates and messages

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate High School diploma and Minimum one (1) year prior courier experience.
  • High School GED.
  • Valid CA Driver's Licence (record must be free of violations).
  • Requires successful completion of Roat Test, and Defensive Drivers Training.


Preferred

  • Minimum one (1) year prior Medicalcourier experience preferred. Previousexperience dealing with public is desired, upon hire
