The posted compensation range of $77.80 - $104.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Educator RCP-Respiratory Therapy, you will serve as a consultant/resource professional by providing staff development expertise as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher, ensuring all educational initiatives are strategically aligned with the Respiratory Therapy department's operational goals and facility leadership priorities.

Every day you will assess educational needs, facilitate the educational process—including planning and implementing competency assessments and continuing education—collaborate with Respiratory Therapy leadership, and serve as a role model for professional behavior.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate competence in all required skills, maintain effective communication with patients and staff, exhibit critical thinking and problem-resolution skills, and demonstrate effectiveness in computer skills like the Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Assess educational needs and conduct evaluations of projects and initiatives to support evidence-based practice and departmental goals, reporting outcomes to leadership
  • Collaborate on safety initiatives, review compliance data, support project roll-outs, and facilitate clinical drills such as Mock Codes and disaster preparedness
  • Conduct ongoing needs assessments, develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs, perform skill validations, and serve as an expert resource and role model for clinical practice
  • Define learning outcomes, select instructional materials, analyze program data, integrate research findings, and participate in performance improvement projects and new product evaluations
  • Support organizational change, maintain active membership in committees, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and collaborate with leadership to align educational programs with strategic goals
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, analyze data, coordinate tasks, manage workloads, and maintain effective communication and professionalism with all healthcare team members

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Associates Degree Other in Respiratory Therapy 
  • 3 - 5 Years of clinical experience
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Licensure
  • Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS-I)
