The posted compensation range of $54.12 - $78.47 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The Manager of People and Culture and Special Projects is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing a wide range of HR functions while also managing special projects aimed at improving organizational effectiveness. This position requires a strategic and results-oriented individual who can collaborate across teams, implement best practices, and drive change initiatives to support the company's HR and business goals. This role will balance day-to-day HR operations, including employee/provider relations, with high-impact projects such as policy development, organizational development, and cross-functional initiatives designed to enhance the overall employee experience.

Human Resource Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances; provide guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and workplace policies.
- Serve as point of contact for contract changes, adjustments, inaccuracies, updates to Cobblestone, renewals/expirations and partnership with DHMF/CommonSpirit Contracting Team.
- Identify and support implementation on training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills, promote career growth, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strategic HR Initiatives: Collaborate with leadership to identify long-term HR goals and support strategic initiatives such as succession planning, talent mapping, and workforce planning
Special Projects Management:
- Lead cross-departmental projects aimed at streamlining HR operations, improving employee engagement, and enhancing organizational efficiency.
- Partner with senior leadership to implement organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to employees.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Support the development and execution of DEI strategies, ensuring inclusivity is integrated across HR practices and organizational culture.
- Employee Engagement & Retention Programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- 5 additional years of equivalent experience in lue of education.
- Proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing HR operations and leading cross-functional projects.
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and other HR tools and software.
- Familiarity with HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices
Preferred Education and Experience:
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification preferred.
Overview
Mercy Medical Group, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is a multi-specialty clinic with 26 locations throughout the greater Sacramento area. We have more than 400 medical providers and 900 Dignity Health Medical Foundation employees providing a wide range of services to thousands of patients in the Sacramento area and to our affiliated local Dignity Health hospitals (Mercy General Hospital, Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Mercy Hospital of Folsom and Methodist Hospital of Sacramento).
