The posted compensation range of $43.10 - $64.11 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Manager of Sterile Processing, you will lead and oversee all operations within the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring the meticulous cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical devices.
Every day you will manage department staff, develop and enforce comprehensive policies and procedures, monitor quality control measures, and ensure strict compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., AAMI, TJC, OSHA). You will also oversee inventory control, equipment maintenance, and drive continuous process improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
To be successful in this role, you will possess deep expertise in sterile processing principles, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance, coupled with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Assures that department policies, practices and procedures conform to all appropriate regulations and standards and coordinates the implementation, modification and maintenance of all department programs.
- Ensures that instrument trays and other items are properly decontaminated, assembled and sterilized.
- Assures timely delivery of sterilized items to customers.
- Assures that sterilization practices and equipment meet quality standards.
- Investigates problems/concerns and develops and implements action plans to resolve.
- Provides direct supervision for the Sterile Processing Department staff in a way that creates a positive work environment and ensures compliance with all organizational and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Comparable combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years full-time experience in Sterile Processing Department in an acute medical center.
- One (1) year of which must have been at a progressive leadership role.
- Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Cert Sterile Processing Distribution Technologist (CSPDT-CBSPD)
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Supervisor (CSPDS)
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPDT)
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree.
