The posted compensation range of $18.49 - $27.99 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Medical Assistant Lead, you will step into a pivotal leadership role, championing patient-centered care and operational excellence within our dynamic clinical environment. You'll be instrumental in fostering a collaborative atmosphere, empowering our healthcare team, and ensuring every patient's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met with empathy and efficiency. This critical position offers a unique opportunity to shape the patient experience and drive clinical best practices.
Every day you will deliver hands-on, direct patient care, while simultaneously leading and supporting our frontline staff in their day-to-day clinical operations. Your responsibilities will include adeptly delegating duties, proactively managing operational challenges, and meticulously ensuring adherence to our rigorous clinic quality, regulatory, billing, and customer service standards. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for daily operational issues, expertly assessing, resolving, and escalating them to clinic leadership as appropriate, ensuring seamless clinic flow and superior patient outcomes.

Your exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be essential in guiding your team and navigating complex clinical scenarios. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and compassionate professional dedicated to optimizing clinic efficiency and elevating the standard of patient care.
- Responsible for performing daily inventory of assigned areas within the specialty area. This includes, ordering, receiving breakdown, stocking, rotation, cleaning, labeling, returns and other actions when appropriate.
- Applies a working knowledge of medical/surgical supplies normally associated with specialty department in order to enhance communications and meet the needs of specialty departments as assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining Lawson based on PAR Optimization reports to ensure it is current and reflects the latest changes within the specialty service area.
- Establishes and maintains consignment Inventories. Performs physical counts on a quarterly basis in accordance with established Supply Chain Enterprise Business Process.
- Responsible for ensuring delivery for scheduled surgery implants and instruments, completes the "Bill Only" paperwork for payment.
- Communicates backorders, out-of-stock supplies, and unusual movement of supply items.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Required
High School Degree or Equivalent
- Current Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred
- Diploma from an accredited medical assistant's program and externship completed is preferred; or EMT training
- One (1) year MA or EMT experience
Clinical skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
