The posted compensation range of $161,761 - $198,702 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Family Nurse Practitioner, you will help patients of all ages receive high-quality, evidence-based primary care so they can achieve and maintain their best possible health and well-being.

Every day you will assess patients, diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide education to patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team. You will be expected to practice with a high degree of clinical competence, professionalism, independence, and attention to detail while prioritizing patient needs and making sound decisions regarding patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will bring advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and the management of adult and pediatric populations. You will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, sound clinical judgment, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and our organization’s mission and core values.

  • Provides immediate patient care under the responsibility and supervision of a physician.
  • Application of technical/clinical skills to provide medical care are appropriate to patient needs and age.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a cost-effective manner.
  • Applies ethical, legal and professional standards to patient care.
  • Assures appropriate, safe and timely disposition of the patient and participates in the hospital Quality Improvement Program.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Nurse Practitioner registration with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) from the American Heart Association

Preferred

  • Preferably two years of primary care clinical nursing experience
  • National Certification 
  • PALS from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association

Founded in 1951, Dignity Health at Mark Twain Medical Center is a 25-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in San Andreas, California. Serving more than 90,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full range of services, including cancer care, emergency care, and orthopedics. Mark Twain Medical Center also operates four Family Medical Clinics offering exams, immunizations, and care for minor injuries. Mark Twain Medical Center has been recognized as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, and it is the only medical facility in Calaveras County.
