The posted compensation range of $25.00 - $31.06 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Central Services Tech, you will ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure, providing vital technical support that empowers our entire organization.

Your daily work will involve monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems, swiftly resolving technical issues to minimize disruption. You'll provide expert user support, documenting solutions, and actively contributing to system reliability and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you must possess robust IT knowledge, exceptional problem-solving skills, a meticulous approach to system tasks, and the ability to translate technical challenges into practical, effective solutions for users and systems alike.

  • Is a role model for the Hospital's Customer Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues.
  • Insures proper operation of autoclave units prior to use on a daily basis.
  • Runs, monitors and approves biological and chemical tests at beginning, middles and end of shift. Follows through with the monitoring process, until the termination of the biological incubation period.
  • Monitors and approves Bowie-Dick test and Sterilizer Printcons. Records results in appropriate log.
  • Inspects STERRAD, Gas and Steam Autoclaves for visible signs of malfunction and reports to Central Service Manager.
  • Records accurately at the end of the shift the number of sterilized loads and items that have been sterilized.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • One year experience as a Central Service or Surgical Instrument Technician OR a combination of six months experience and enrollment in a CRCST or Surgical Instrument Tech course
