Market Director Food Nutrition Services Central Coast and Central Valley

As our Market Director Food Nutrition Services, you will report directly to the California Region Director Food Nutrition Services, and in this cornerstone and highly visible position, will plan, administer, and direct all activities related to Food and Nutrition Services, including financial accountability and compliance with organizational and regulatory agency standards, for our Central Coast and Central Valley markets. Our Central Coast Market consists of 7 Hospitals; St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Hospital Camarillo in the Oxnard area, Marian Regional Medical Center, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, and French Hospital in the Santa Maria area, Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, and Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City. Our Central Valley Market consists of 7 Hospitals; Bakersfield Memorial Hospital and Mercy Hospital Bakersfield in Bakersfield, Mercy Medical Center in Merced, Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas, and St. Joseph's Medical Center and St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center in Stockton. This position has the option to be physically based at any of these Hospitals, and travel is expected to regularly visit the other Hospitals and leadership teams.

Every day, you will lead Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) departments, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments to ensure a unified FNS service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees. You will also hold authority and responsibility for the daily management of food services, implementing training programs for FNS staff, and assuring that established policies and procedures are maintained.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership in Foodservice management, a deep understanding of financial accountability and regulatory compliance, and a proven ability to foster collaborative relationships and implement effective training programs within a healthcare setting.

Required Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years Hospital, Nutrition, or Foodservice management experience required.

Required Licensure:

• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) with the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) required within 24 months of start date.
• ServSafe Food Allergen certification required within 60 days of start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field, or three (3) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.
