The posted compensation range of $200,000 - $200,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Hematology-Oncology NP or PA, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican, a physician-led, patient-centered organization in Santa Cruz, CA. You will be a vital part of our comprehensive cancer program, working alongside expert physicians to provide compassionate, high-level care to our coastal community. You will provide comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and management of treatment plans. Your role will involve performing clinical procedures and managing follow-up care in our modern outpatient infusion center (featuring 15 private bays) and collaborating with your multidisciplinary team during weekly tumor boards and survivorship planning. You will contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on building healthier communities and innovating how care is delivered, benefiting from approachable leadership and an integrated support team including nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy liaisons, research coordinators, and genetic counselors, as well as access to an on-site lab, imaging, tele-genetics, and a 17-bed inpatient oncology unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant passionate about oncology and community health, eager to work in a collaborative, team-based environment where your clinical expertise is valued and your professional growth is supported. You will partner with patients and families to navigate the rapid diagnosis clinic and supportive services, fostering a positive provider culture focused on innovation and clinical excellence within the stunning Santa Cruz region.
We are offering a competitive salary with an 18-month guarantee of $200k plus productivity incentives. You will also receive a generous sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a CME allowance. This position is PSLF (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) eligible, offering significant loan forgiveness opportunities.
Job Requirements
Required
- Active or eligible license in the state of California
- Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare)
- Certified AOCNP or Oncology PA
- Completion of state mandated educational courses
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Minimum one to two years of clinical experience
