The posted compensation range of $45.26 - $67.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Field Service Specialist II, you will be a pivotal contributor to our healthcare technology team, ensuring the peak operational status of vital medical imaging equipment. This role is perfect for a skilled technician passionate about imaging equipment maintenance, seeking to make a significant impact on patient care quality and clinical engineering excellence. We are specifically targeting experts in Digital Radiography, CT systems (basic), CT Simulators, basic oncology equipment, and Vascular/Special systems to join our forward-thinking organization.
Every day you will be at the forefront of medical device repair, performing both routine and complex maintenance on a diverse range of imaging technologies. You'll gain valuable experience in reducing vendor dependency through proactive training and skill development, while also acting as a technical lead within the Clinical Engineering department, mentoring and supporting junior team members. Your responsibilities will extend to managing critical service emergencies and efficiently coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless operation of our diagnostic imaging services.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in field service engineering with a proven track record in medical imaging equipment repair and preventive maintenance. Your expertise in specific technologies like DR systems, CT scanners, and vascular imaging equipment will be crucial. We are looking for an individual with exceptional problem-solving skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, demonstrating leadership and accountability in all technical operations. This position covers Marian Regional, Arroyo Grande, French Hospital, and the surrounding satellite locations.
Job Requirements
Required
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables, and C-Arms)
- Must have the ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of imaging equipment.
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and or Mechanical Engineering, or related field required or military equivalent.
Preferred
- CRES preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
