The posted compensation range of $72.88 - $108.42 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary: 

This position is responsible for providing pharmacy informatics support for the implementation, management, and maintenance of new and existing pharmacy related software products. The incumbent will also serve as liaison between pharmacy, IS staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure that user needs are met and system-wide information technology standards are adhered to. The incumbent will be expected to maintain competency in the practice of all areas of pharmacy and may be called upon to assist with departmental staffing. Ensures that all actions taken and methods to produce results incorporate and promote CSH’s mission, vision, and values.

Job Duties: 

  • Works closely with pharmacy managers, vendors and revenue analysts to ensure proper maintenance of pharmacy system tables.
  • Obtains, implements, tests and documents user requests for pharmacy compendium additions and modifications.
  • Develops data entry interfaces for complex medication protocol orders and works closely with staff pharmacists to ensure protocol orders enable accurate and consistent data entry of multi-ingredient drug orders.
  • Develops and maintains data entry interfaces in accordance with standardized hospital physician order sets.
  • Performs other programming and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Assists pharmacy managers with coordination of activities related to new pharmacy or clinical system implementation.
  • Assists vendors and project teams in developing and documenting user requirements.
  • Assists vendors and project teams in testing efforts and end-user training.
  • Provides inpatient pharmacy staffing support as needed.
  • Serving as a consultant, advisor and trainer to all pharmacy computer application users.
  • Coordinates pharmacy informatics policies and procedures throughout facilities.

Job Requirements

This position will cover the Central Coast and Central Valley markets. The position is remote but must reside in one of the markets.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • 3 years of Pharmacist experience. 

Licensure: 

  • Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in at least one of the states within the region in which the employee works.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training: 

  • Recent inpatient hospital experience and working knowledge of all aspects of pharmacy operations.
