The posted compensation range of $30.78 - $45.78 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
The Foundation Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and project management support for multiple aspects of Foundation activities in accordance with established standards, guidelines and procedures.
This work requires the ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly-changing environment and coordinate multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
Essential Functions Include:
- Creates, implements and maintains an active management system for keeping track of major donor relationships and prospects; liaises with physicians, CEO and Foundation Directors and gift officer as well as vendors in maintaining accurate and current data. Uses judgment and decision-making skills to identify trends, issues and/or opportunities.
- Utilizes the Foundation’s Customer Relationship Management system to manage data and to create and implement data extractions for multiple projects, including but not limited to:
- annual fund mailings
- special events/donor cultivation events
- mid-level donor program; major donor program
- Boeing Classic Volunteer program
- corporate program
- Supports donor/prospect research efforts by tracking all research requests and identifying prospects that have both capacity and affinity for philanthropic participation; interprets nature/scope of the request and performs simple donor/prospect research; assures that research results are timely, comprehensive and meet user expectations
- Applies knowledge of established criteria to assure accuracy of data and to effectively update lists and extractions.
- Creates and implements a production timeline for annual fund mailings, meeting deadlines with both internal audiences and vendors; utilizes database efficiently and produces accurate and personalized mailings that contain multiple variables; utilizes database accurately and have the ability to produce personalized mailings that contain multiple variables accurately; oversees letter production, coordination with mail house, writer and post office.
- Creates and maintains donor recognition lists for donor walls, donor monitors, giving societies, annual reports, etc, including mid-level, major/planned giving donors, endowment donors, memorial donors, transformational leadership donors, chairman’s donors, etc.
- Oversees production of newsletters, emails and special mailings to facilitate formal communication with donors; collaborates on content development and/or coordinates content (including photos and articles); establishes timelines and coordinates overall production of communication vehicles.
- Provides project coordination support throughout the Foundation as assigned, including but not limited to donor relations activities (timelines, production schedules, distribution/invitation lists), written stewardship report creation, finance related projects, outcomes reporting, endowment reporting and volunteers.
- Responds to donor/customer inquiries/questions according to established standards/procedures and within scope of position.
- Coordinates the preparation, design and printing of marketing materials, grant proposals and office materials; develops, within scope of position, initial design concepts for printed materials.
- Determines appropriate coding/soft credit for individual donations (e.g. gifts from IRAs, trusts, private and community foundations and donor-advised funds), corporate donations and gifts from foundations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in a non-profit fund developing setting that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
OR:
- 4-6 years experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
