The posted compensation range of $33.30 - $45.78/ hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician in our Specialty Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in supporting the complex and personalized medication needs of patients managing chronic and rare conditions. This specialized role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of high-cost, high-touch medications, directly impacting patient access and treatment adherence.
Every day, you will meticulously process specialty medication prescriptions, manage prior authorizations, and coordinate benefits verification with insurance providers. You'll expertly communicate with patients regarding their therapy, dosage, and delivery schedules, and assist pharmacists with patient follow-up and clinical documentation.
To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional organizational skills, a strong ability to navigate complex insurance and patient support programs, and an unwavering commitment to patient advocacy. You should continually seek to deepen your understanding of specialty disease states and therapies, striving to provide empathetic support and ensure seamless access to life-changing medications for our patients.
Job Requirements
Required
High School Diploma, or GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent
Required 1+ years retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience
- Active Pharmacy Technician License in good standing in the state(s) in which the employee works, if required by state law
- Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT
- Skills:
- Strong phone skills
- Able to quickly learn other database programs and able to extract relevant information
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Traits:
Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator
Other:
Energetic, highly motivated, team player with strong personal and communication skills
Discretion and confidentiality essential as position deals with highly sensitive and private data
Preferred
