The posted compensation range of $83.32-$124.68 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
The specialty medication prescribing service will drive specialty medication management, working with specialty pharmacy operations and ambulatory clinic pharmacists in specialty care to support multiple locations.
The centralized service, consisting of pharmacists and a pharmacy technician, will focus on optimizing medication strategies and enhancing patient outcomes across our health system.
Successful candidates will need to travel to on-site clinic locations.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in pharmacy
- 2+ years related experience
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works: PHARM:WA
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience or successful completion of a Pharmacy Administrative Residency
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training
- Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of pharmaceutical care.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements applicable to the pharmacy profession.
- Knowledge of the practices and techniques relating to staff education and development.
- Knowledge of the practices of employee supervision, evaluation and performance management.
- Knowledge of the standards and practices relating to business planning, budget administration and continuous process/performance improvement.
- Ability to understand and use/apply I.V. admixture, automated distribution systems, outpatient services and decentralized pharmacy services.
- Ability to apply effective techniques for employee staffing in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to formulate schedules, deal effectively with crisis situations, and supervise/evaluate employees.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to effectively communicate and direct workflow.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.
