The posted compensation range of $21.06 - $28.73 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiology Aide, you will help provide essential support to the Radiology Department, ensuring efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Every day you will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including: assisting Radiologists, Technologists and RN's with procedure preparation, maintaining clean and well-stocked work areas, managing telephone communications, assisting with patient positioning, transport and utilizing computer systems for patient information and order management.

To be successful in this role, the Radiology Aide is a key member of the team, contributing to a safe and effective environment for patients and staff while adhering to all applicable policies and procedures.

  • Prepares trays and all supplies for various procedures in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Retrieves & hands supplies needed during procedures and obtains needed supplies for procedures performed outside of the department; brings required equipment to patient areas.
  • Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment (within scope of position) in accordance with established procedures; reports and requests equipment repair as necessary.
  • Performs routine patient care activities as directed in accordance with established procedures and responds to questions, within scope of position, regarding patients or procedures.; enters/retrieves data from electronic record system.
  • Moves patients from beds to stretchers and/or different locations; utilizes appropriate patient lift devices to facilitate safe movement.
  • Participates in the post-procedure cleanup and turnover of the room, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures and orders and maintains department supplies; maintains current knowledge of stock availability and status.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate Upon Hire and one year of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities. OR
  • High School GED Upon Hire and one year of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities. AND
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
