Join our dedicated team at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, and make a real difference in patient lives! We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to work the night shift, providing crucial diagnostic imaging services to our community.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Night Shift CT Technologist, you will utilize state-of-the-art computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Your expertise will be vital in the diagnosis of medical issues, ensuring accurate and timely results for our physicians. You will interpret physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate CT scan equipment, and expertly position patients to capture the appropriate images, all while adhering to strict safety procedures and protocols.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Maneuvering equipment and patients with care and precision.
  • Providing basic patient care and ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Submitting accurate and timely imaging, patient history documentation, and case charging.
  • Actively supporting the department's initiatives related to patient and employee satisfaction.
  • You will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in order to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Beyond your technical skills, you will be accountable for:

  • Staying abreast of CHI Franciscan Health (CHI-FH) standards, protocols, and procedures relating to the CT function.
  • Maintaining current CT skills and demonstrating evidence of continuing education through department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from radiologists, and related classes.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, including coursework in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy.
  • One year of work experience as a CT Technologist preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
  • State of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • CT Registration is preferred.
