The posted compensation range of $63.10 - $104.12 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director of Urgent Care, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Franciscan Medical Group Urgent Care facilities, overseeing multiple clinic sites and leading site based management teams. You will ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and business operations while aligning services with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, patient needs, and organizational goals.

Every day, you will lead daily operations across multiple Urgent Care locations, supporting site-based leaders and clinical teams to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and service. You will oversee staffing and resource utilization, patient safety, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, budgets, productivity, and patient satisfaction while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen operations, and enhance the overall patient experience.

To be sucessful in this role, you will bring strong knowledge of health care management principles, Urgent Care operations, and patient care delivery, along with demonstrated expertise in business planning, process improvement, budget management, and personnel leadership. You will be able to recognize opportunities across clinical outcomes, cost containment, patient safety, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance and translate them into effective operational strategies. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills are essential to successfully guide multiple teams, drive meaningful change, and achieve both clinical and business objectives.

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and evaluate operations across multiple Urgent Care sites through subordinate leaders, ensuring safe, efficient, consistent, and high-quality patient care while meeting clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead short- and long-term planning initiatives that support growth, service expansion, standardization, improved patient outcomes, market opportunities, and organizational priorities.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Oversee operating and capital budgets, staffing, resources, productivity, and expenses to ensure responsible financial management and achievement of business objectives.
  • Staff Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop site-based management teams; ensure appropriate staffing, training, performance management, and accountability to support operational and patient care goals.
  • Quality & Performance Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement strategies that enhance clinical outcomes, patient safety, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable laws and regulations while promoting consistent practices across Urgent Care locations.
  • Business & Provider Partnerships: Build strong relationships with physicians, medical directors, staff, patients, and key partners to enhance care delivery, customer service, program growth, and overall organizational performance.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Monitor and communicate key performance indicators, financial results, productivity, quality metrics, and benchmarking data to identify trends, address challenges, and guide operational decisions.


Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business/healthcare administration or a related discipline
  • Seven years of progressively responsible of operational/clinical work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities
  • Five years of experience in management/leadership capacity.
  • Work experience in an urgent care and/or consumer access setting

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline
