The posted compensation range of $22.88 - $34.03 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This job is responsible for performing various duties, under oversight of the Manager of Respiratory Care and with the guidance of licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners, to prepare, transport, set up and conduct quality checks of Cardiopulmonary Services equipment in routine situations. Incumbents also set up patients for various tests, perform routine electrocardiograms, enter patient data in computer systems, orders/stocks equipment and supplies and incidental clerical support tasks as assigned.
Work is conducted in accordance with established Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) procedures, safety and risk management standards, and guidelines for response to emergency situations.
- Assembles, cleans, processes and sets up all respiratory therapy equipment in accordance with current procedures.
Collects, decontaminates, assembles, and redistributes equipment; disassembles, cleans, and re-assemble equipment.
Reprocess reusable Respiratory Therapy equipment, such as bronchoscopes, according to manufacturer IFU guidelines and monitors infection control standards. (Applies only to employees working at St. Joseph Medical Center)
Performs quality checks on equipment in accordance with operation verification procedures for ventilators and other associated equipment.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis to meet state requirements.
Responds to routine and emergency calls to deliver and set up equipment for immediate use. - Makes daily rounds to assigned areas to ensure adequate stock levels are available at all department equipment stations; orders/stocks equipment and supplies as needed to maintain par levels and special needs of assigned areas.
Replenishes storage areas and respiratory care carts with adequate inventory, as necessary.
Maintains adequate inventory in the equipment assembly area.
Monitors equipment usage; tracks utilization for billing purposes.
Document accurate patient medical records and Cardiology Information. (Applies only to employees working at SJMC) - Enters and maintains patient billing records in computer systems.
Job Requirements
Required
- less than 1 year Six months of related work experience, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor, within 90 Days
Preferred
- less than 1 year Six months of related work experience in a hospital setting that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities. , upon hire
