The posted compensation range of $400,000 - $450,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Neuro-Oncology Physician
As our Neuro-Oncology Physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team providing care to patients through the Puget Sound region. Our well-established Tacoma and Seattle hospital locations offer nationally recognized providers who focus on complex procedures to serve surrounding communities. You would be joining a team of subspecialists dedicated to the same level of excellence. The practices include: Medical Oncology services, offering personalized cancer treatment plans; Radiation Oncology service, ensuring seamless, coordinated care; and Surgical Oncology specialists, collaborating on complex cancer cases.
Candidates should be interested in growing our service line, while forming good relationships with our existing employed physician referral network. As part of our team, you will work alongside local and regional cancer care specialists, all dedicated to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for those we serve.
Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Neuro-Oncologist, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with a wide variety of diseases.
- Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
- Stay current with research and best practices in Neuro-Oncology to provide evidence-based care
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of cancer care and blood disorder issues
We are offering a guaranteed starting salary followed by a wRVU model, a starting bonus, and relocation assistance. Retirement plans include both 401(k) and 457(b).
Job Requirements
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified Neurology (ABPN)
- ACGME Accredited Neurology Residency
- Fellowship Trained in Neuro-Oncology
- Active Washington State Medical License, or eligible for licensure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients and families
Preferred
- 2+ years experience following training
- EPIC Experience
