The posted compensation range of $35.62 - $52.99 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As a Provider Compensation Analyst I, you will provide essential support and expert guidance to physicians, medical groups, and organizational leaders regarding provider compensation programs, ensuring accurate administration, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service.
Every day, you will analyze and administer provider compensation programs, including base pay, incentive compensation, and performance-based pay. You will collect and analyze compensation data, calculate physician compensation, review and distribute compensation and productivity reports, and ensure physicians and medical groups are paid accurately and on time. You will also support compensation survey participation and analysis, recommend program and system enhancements, and conduct analyses requested by executive leadership, the Board of Directors (BOD), Medical Directors, individual providers, and corporate counsel.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex compensation information effectively. Your collaborative, customer-focused approach and commitment to accuracy will help support provider satisfaction, informed decision-making, and the ongoing success of VMFH's provider compensation programs.
- Administer and maintain physician/provider contracts, ensuring accuracy of contract terms, fee schedules, compensation plans, FMV requirements, and related data within internal systems.
- Audit, monitor, and reconcile provider compensation, contracts, and financial data to ensure compliance, consistency, accurate payouts, and adherence to organizational policies and contract provisions.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, impact modeling, reporting, and provider compensation evaluations to support operational planning, decision-making, and business objectives.
- Research, identify, and resolve contract, compensation, and data discrepancies; analyze trends and anomalies, escalating issues through appropriate channels for timely resolution.
- Provide guidance and consultation to physicians, providers, HR, leadership, and stakeholders regarding contract provisions, compensation models, policy compliance, special provisions, stipends, and incentive programs.
- Support physician/provider employment transactions by preparing contract documentation, reconciliation reports, approval materials, and committee submissions while collaborating with leadership and legal counsel on contract-related matters.
Job Requirements
Required-
Bachelor's degree or 4 years experience in medical group finance, professional billing, or compensation modeling
Preferred-
Demonstrated technical proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets and other HR Technology applications using quantitative analysis, charting, pivot tables and formulas. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in presentation and education skills to include delivery and communications as well as technical software.
