As a VMFH Rehab Aide, you will:
- Support Therapy Operations: Perform a variety of clerical and manual tasks that keep our therapy areas running seamlessly.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Expertly manage infection control, and assist with equipment adjustments or simple repairs.
- Essential Clerical Support: Handle vital tasks like ordering supplies and routing materials to ensure our teams have what they need.
- Patient Mobility & Safety: Under the general supervision of a licensed therapist, assist with safe patient transfers and transportation, adhering strictly to established guidelines.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Be a key part of our healthcare team, fostering effective working relationships with therapists, nurses, patients, and their families.
- Prioritize Safety: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, legal requirements, and patient rights, promptly reporting any concerns or unfavorable patient reactions.
- Respond to Emergencies: Be ready to assist effectively in emergency situations.

Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Experience That Matters: One year of related work experience demonstrating relevant skills.
- Compassion & Prior Experience: Previous experience (within the last 5 years) or volunteer work with disabled populations, including patient transfers, an understanding of medical terminology, and experience interacting with a medical team.
- Attention to Detail: A precise approach to following guidelines and procedures.
- Strong Communication: The ability to build rapport and clearly communicate with patients, families, and team members.
- Reliability: A commitment to supporting critical therapy functions.
