The posted compensation range of $30.91 - $51.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services.
Every day, you will expertly manage intricate scheduling and resource allocation while meticulously entering and maintaining data. You will also produce schedules, and oversee template maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling systems. Your proactive approach and commitment to operational precision are paramount.
- Oversees daily scheduling operations and facilitates the availability of timely, accurate scheduling and block utilization information and data extraction to support decision-making in the perioperative service line.
- Ensures that services are executed in accordance with internal policies/standards/procedures and applicable regulatory requirements and meet the needs of the customer population; recommends and implements new procedures to standardize and streamline current practices across the organization.
- Develops effective relationships with stakeholders and/or service providers to establish timely and effective lines of communication and to maximize the utilization of systems; maintains ongoing communications to resolve problems and to coordinate the design and implementation of new/modified systems.
- Keeps abreast of organizational initiatives, changing needs/priorities and regulatory requirements with potential for impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility; assesses applicability to current initiatives/objectives, identifying opportunities to enhance current processes, customer service and overall productivity.
- Combines data from all FHS facilities to produce complex consolidated statistical reports (e.g. OR schedules, case volume, turnover times, utilization, etc); may present and explain reports to medical staff, management and other audiences.
- Identifies and implements tracking mechanisms to facilitate review of results achieved and to identify problematic issues (e.g. billing, customer service, patient care, physician relations or regulatory concerns); prepares activity, status and related reports and documentation as required; assesses ongoing effectiveness by monitoring results and comparing against results expected.
