The posted compensation range of $47.41 - $70.52 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Manager – Business Office is responsible to lead operational efforts to complete the administration, coordination and monitoring of all business office processes and services to ensure the operations effective achievement of departmental goals. The individual will be responsible for the direct supervision and training of various levels of Business Office staff.
Assist the Administrator to direct the development and implementation of strategic plans, annual forecasts, business plans, cost analyses, budgets and financial processes. |
Has full understand of contract management; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Assists Administrator for drafting language in contract documents. Responsible for ensuring the accordance of the contract documents. Prepares supporting analysis. |
Assists in the preparation of all necessary reporting requirements for the JV. Utilize knowledge of financial principals to perform high level financial analysis, summaries and recommendations to support Management’s review of operations for the Cath Lab. |
Works closely with DHC Management to develop billing, collections, and accounts receivables processes. Ensures accounts receivable trends are closely monitored and that the appropriate decisions and actions are taken promptly to remedy operational and collection problems. |
Works closely with DHC Management to ensure business office operations are current and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. |
Oversees the monitoring of bad debt reserves, contractual and write‐offs. |
Completes front end processes of billing procedures ensuring all information is entered in Advantx. |
Performs all insurance verification processes and completes all required processes for prior authorization or other actions required by payers. |
Coordinates collection, processing, maintenance, storage, retrieval, documentation and distribution of medical records per policy and procedure. Assures documentation of logs of medical record release. |
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. |

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree Preferred
8‐12 years Joint Venture Cath Lab Business operations and leadership experience
* Minimum of 3 years leadership experience Preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:
KSA's
Joint Venture business office practices to include policy review, document review, regulatory/legal compliance and contract management experience.
Excellent financial competence, operational excellence, exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Excellent skills for team building, motivating employees, performance management and decision making.
Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Joint
Venture medical. Management systems to include Advantx, word processing and spreadsheets.
Detailed oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences through diplomacy and tact.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership.
Where You'll Work
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital.
