The posted compensation range of $30.70 - $44.55 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Behavioral Health Clinician Lead, you will provide direct clinical services while also offering crucial leadership and mentorship to enhance departmental operations. You will support the holistic care of medical inpatients by assessing their psycho-social history and collaborating with the clinical team on treatment and discharge planning.
Every day, you will coordinate follow-up care for patients and act as a vital liaison for families, friends, therapists, and outside agencies. You will actively engage in providing family therapy and education, and oversee the coordination of care with social workers and case managers. This role will involve training and mentoring hospital staff, continuously applying your expertise to foster an environment of high-quality, integrated behavioral health support. Furthermore, you will assist leadership in identifying, developing, and implementing process improvement initiatives within the department.
To be successful in your role, you will strategically lead and elevate the behavioral health support for medical inpatients, ensuring comprehensive assessments and integrated treatment plans. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise by providing family therapy and education, meticulously coordinating follow-up care, and effectively liaising with diverse stakeholders. Your leadership will be pivotal in mentoring hospital staff, driving process improvement initiatives, and continuously enhancing the delivery of patient-centered care.
Schedule: Five days a week 8:00am - 5:00pm, rotating weekends (flexible on the weekend shifts time)
Job Requirements
Required
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Counseling
- Licensed Social Worker or Counselor
- Requires current state of employment License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Two (2) years of psychiatric or mental health experience
- Demonstrates clinical and ethical professionalism, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills
- Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
