Manager Nursing
The posted compensation range of $33.60 - $48.73 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Directs the operational, financial, personnel, and planning activities of Obstetrics. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.
- Responsible for providing managerial oversight and leadership. This includes; recruitment, on-boarding, managing performance, goal setting and measurement, and ongoing communication.
- Manage budget and fiscal responsibility to ensure positive and consistent alignment of balancing patient needs, outcomes, and compliance and safety with productivity guidelines
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements including that staff is appropriately licensed/certified and taking corrective action for non-compliance as needed
- Evaluates work flow activities to ensure patient care, staff relations and efficiency of services.
- Collaborates with system leadership, local leadership, and providers, as required to ensure communications and relationships
- Observes nursing care and visits patients to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment is administered in accordance with physician’s instructions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelors and Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Obstetrics and three (3) years of leadership experience, Required.
- OR Associates and
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Obstetrics Unit, Required.
- OR five (5) years of leadership experience, Required.
Licensure and Certifications
- Registered Nurse: North Dakota (RN:ND), Required Upon Hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), Required Upon Hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Required Upon Hire.
