The posted compensation range of $45.26 - $67.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Manager, you will be a visionary leader, setting the standard for exceptional patient care and empowering our teams to achieve unparalleled clinical excellence.

Every day you will inspire and lead a dedicated clinical team (nurses & aides) to prioritize patient needs, maintaining rigorous oversight of regulatory compliance, staffing, and fiscal health. You'll passionately advocate for your team, translating their insights into actionable strategies that uplift both staff and patient experiences.

  • In collaboration with Care Center and Provider Site leadership, supports a vision and culture that reflects a patient care-focused environment. Collaborates, as appropriate, to discuss and effectively manage ongoing operations and resolve operational, staff and financial issues pertaining to the practice.
  • Participates in work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing improvement in care center operations. Provides value-added and productive input and expertise to drive continual improvement, support standardization and streamlining and to resolve ongoing patient care issues.
  • Provides effective support and resolution on service-line issues.
  • Analyzes program goals and objectives given current health care trends, makes accurate short- and long-term projections to establish program needs and resource requirements; and helps to identify potential sources of funds and revenues to meet those requirements.
  • Uses care center performance metrics and other benchmarking tools to review performance on census, operational, financial, patient satisfaction, provider satisfaction, and patient safety standards. Ensures care center meets established standards. Takes ownership of and appropriate action to improve care center performance.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of healthcare management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive, engaged teams and work with providers.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles, including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment.

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing systems.

  • Knowledge of computers, systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, clinic information systems, electronic medical records,
    billing systems, and other application packages.

  • Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices.

  • Is a visible, results oriented, and nimble leader with a reputation of doing what it takes to get the job done while ensuring strong interpersonal relationships; puts the interests of the organization ahead of personal interests.

  • Employs a style that is transparent, credible, and focused on relationship building, influence, conviction, innovation and integrity.

  • High degree of resilience, has a sense of urgency, is outcome driven and can thrive in an environment of rapid change while effectively managing pressure in a professional manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Strong leadership and management skills to provide planning, coordination and direction to staff and ability to propose innovative solutions to challenges.

  • Ability to effectively direct and motivate others.

  • Planning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to anticipate, avert, or resolve issues in staffing, scheduling and task allocation.

  • Ability to be flexible to maintain continuity of programs while considering individual staff needs and goals.

  • Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with a minimum of direction.

  • Ability to understand and implement the requirements of providing patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment.

  • Ability to understand health care issues within a broad perspective, and to apply these issues to the care center setting.

Preferred:

  • Masters degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field
  • Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience
  • Previous management experience in a union environment
  • Prior managed care or integrated delivery systems experience
  • Registered Nurse: CA
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA
