Welcome to your next chapter!
We’ve designed our Talent Acquisition Office Hours to help you navigate your professional journey within CommonSpirit. Below are answers to the most common questions regarding the process.
1. What exactly are " Talent Acquisition Office Hours"?
Office hours are dedicated 30-minute sessions where you can meet 1-on-1 with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. These sessions are designed to provide personalized guidance on internal growth, lateral transfers, and professional development opportunities.
2. Who is eligible to participate?
All current employees who have completed their initial orientation period and are in good standing are welcome to schedule a session.
3. Do I need to tell my manager before I attend?
While we always encourage open dialogue with your manager about your career goals, these initial office hour sessions are confidential. However, once you decide to apply for a specific internal role, our standard internal transfer policy (which includes manager notification) will apply.
4. Why do I have to fill out the "Employee Submission TA Office Hours Guide" first?
Because our sessions are only 30 minutes, having your worksheet completed in advance allows us to skip the "data gathering" phase and jump straight into strategy. It ensures we spend our time on your top priorities, like resume feedback or interview coaching.
5. What should I bring to my session?
- A copy of your current resume (digital or printed).
- Any specific job titles you are curious about.
6. Can you guarantee me a new position if I attend?
Talent Acquisition acts as your navigator, but we do not make final hiring decisions. We provide you with the tools, visibility, and preparation needed to be the strongest candidate possible for your next role.
7. I’m not sure I want a promotion; I just want a change. Is this for me?
Absolutely. Career "evolution" isn't always vertical. Many of our most successful transitions are lateral moves—moving to a new department or specialty to learn new skills or find a better schedule fit.
8. What if I can’t make the scheduled office hours?
If the current times don't work for your shift, please reach out to request a separate time or a virtual meeting. We are committed to making these resources accessible to all shifts.
9. What happens after the session?
Following our discussion, you’ll receive a follow-up email with a summary of our "Next Steps." This might include a resume critique, introductions to specific hiring managers, or information on our tuition reimbursement programs.
10. How should I apply for roles once I am ready?
It is critical that you log in through the Internal Career Portal using your employee credentials. Please do not create a new profile with your personal email address. Using the internal portal ensures your tenure, internal status, and current records are correctly linked to your application.
Ready to start?
Don't just dream about your next role, prepare for it with confidence.
Please bring your resume, questions, and career aspirations, and let’s explore your future together.
We look forward to helping you unlock your potential.
