The posted compensation range of $192.95 - $270.13 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Market President, you will bring together and lead the entire Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) or relevant network, driving growth and competitiveness within the Market, while representing the organization's mission, vision, and values across the care continuum.

Every day you will report to the regional president and work directly with Hospital Presidents, responsible for strategic planning, operations, profit and loss, employee & provider engagement, and support services. You will also provide administrative leadership to all market business entities, assuring quality of care and patient experience based on organizational goals.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional executive leadership, a profound understanding of integrated healthcare delivery, and a proven ability to drive growth, financial performance, and ensure quality of care across a complex market, all while upholding the organization's mission and values.
  • Responsible for developing and driving short and long-term Market strategy for the Tennessee-Georgia Market; service lines; academic partnerships; provider-related negotiations for other delivery models; primary care strategy; and growth of the integrated delivery network. Champions and implements national strategy and operations in their market in collaboration with national, region, market, and care setting executives.
  • Directly accountable for the Tennessee-Georgia operational and capital budgets. Establishes and communicates priorities and ensures goals are achieved.
  • Responsible for Tennessee-Georgia Market workforce planning, alignment strategies, and opportunity selection for the market for all alignment types, including employed, contracted, PSA, Joint Ventures, Academic Affiliations, On-call Contracts, Hospital Based Services Contracts, CIN/Value Based providers, community physicians and independent providers. Partners with key stakeholders to manage alignment selection process and ensures all physicians and APPs regardless of type are in alignment with overall market strategy, national operations strategy, and changing needs of the market.
  • Responsible for the Market’s ambulatory strategy and operations including: development and optimization of the MBO practice structures; provider recruitment and retention in partnership with Talent Acquisition; Employee staff recruitment and retention; ambulatory quality; integrating clinical data; implementing compliance and compensation standards; prioritization and standardization of performance and practice metrics for improvement and staff and leadership oversight and development. Actively engages South Region President, key region, market and care setting stakeholders, physicians, medical groups, other leaders, and subject matter experts in the development and implementation of National, Regional and local initiatives in the Market.
  • Lead the effective operations of a network of hospital and clinic-based physician practices; leveraging CommonSpirit’s size, scale and expertise to effectively implement systems, processes and standards that enhance access, efficiency, value, and quality, while enhancing provider and patient experience. Responsible for enhancing clinical excellence and provider wellbeing to create a common clinical vision and culture that will retain, attract and inspire top talent.
  • Optimizes clinical operations and/or provider-related negotiations in JV partnerships, M&A activities; facilitates execution of aligned strategy for academic partnerships with national, regional and market leaders; and represents the physician enterprise voice in market/local Payor Strategy.

  • Masters Other Masters in Health Administration, upon hire or
  • Other Medical Degree, upon hire and
  • 10+ years Executive or senior healthcareleadership experience in a large, complex, multi-site, multi-areahealth care organization including acute, ambulatory andoutpatient service delivery systems. , upon hire
  • Superior leadershipexperience cultivating high provider and employee engagement,and effective physician relationships, upon hire
  • Demonstrated ability andexperience: leading multi- specialty groups of physicians; workingeffectively in a matrixed organization and in a dyadic leadershipmodel., upon hire
  • Strong experience with leading and building out the continuum of care: hospitals, large medical groups, population health entities such as IPAs and building out network integrity., upon hire
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, creation of various joint ventures and other growth strategies, upon hire
  • Experience working across the continuum of care and developing an IDN., upon hire
  • Superior leadership experience, particularly in cultivating a high-performing team, and in developing and maintaining excellent relations with physicians and staff at all levels., upon hire
