The posted compensation range of $18.06 - $25.51 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Pharmacy Intern – Grow Your Career While Making an Impact

Are you a motivated pharmacy student ready to turn classroom knowledge into real-world clinical experience? Join our inpatient pharmacy team and gain hands-on exposure in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment where your growth is a priority.

As a Pharmacy Intern, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced pharmacists, building the skills and confidence needed for your future career—while directly supporting safe, high-quality patient care.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, compounding, and distribution
  • Utilize pharmacy automation to enhance safety and efficiency
  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded products (including IV admixtures)
  • Manage medication inventory, including controlled substances and cycle counts
  • Support narcotic distribution and maintain accurate perpetual inventories
  • Conduct medication storage inspections across clinical areas
  • Perform precise pharmaceutical calculations
  • Respond to medication-related questions from healthcare teams and patients
  • Participate in clinical and administrative pharmacy functions

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Iowa Pharmacist Intern Registration
