The posted compensation range of $49.19 - $66.21 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Using a knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructs and prepares patients based on age, size or disorder of patient for radiographic or fluoroscopy examinations to assure patient cooperation and facilitate proper examinations. Using knowledge of correct radiographic positions and anatomy based on age, size or disorder of patient, positions patient and equipment so as to obtain a clear and undistorted view of the area being examined. Confirms correlation of the patient clinical history with the exam being ordered.
- Competently performs multiple complex imaging procedures such as angiography, CT scanning, fluoroscopy, or Cardiac Catheterization as required.
- Interacts with co workers and staff from other departments in a positive manner to deliver quality patient care.
- Uses knowledge of radiation safety, collimates the x-ray beam and uses shielding appropriately to assure optimal patient and operator safety from unnecessary exposure to radiation in the department and on the nursing units.
- Prepares patients for radiology procedures including explaining exam and instructing patients to remove any personal items of clothing that will compromise image quality.
- Using knowledge of film processing or digital image manipulation/ archiving processed x-ray images using proper techniques to ensure optimal image quality. Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality and completeness based on department protocols. Communicates with the radiologist on issues that may affect the quality or ability to obtain required images.
Job Requirements
Required:
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, we accept American Heart Association, and
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, or
- Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or
- Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or
- Registered Technologist Mammography, or
- Registered Technologist, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or
- Registered Technologist Quality Management, or
- Registered Technologist, Radiation Therapy, or
- Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Rad, or
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, and
- Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire
- Required to take a call
- Required to work weekends on a rotational basis
